Steamboat

We had steamboat on last Sunday.
Yum.

The soup was quite salty though.
However, the rest were good.

Hammy can't eat steamboat, so he ate the ceramic container.

Hammy says Hi!

Singapore Discovery Center

Last Friday, Jerry brought us to Singapore Discovery Center(SDC).
Too bad Lis's down with a little flu & Joc had to stay home with her.

It was quite disappointing that the movies on that day were full-house! We only managed to catch the one & available 'Wired to Win', featuring the cyclists completing at Tour De France. I din know Tour De France is that taxing! Imagine riding on 2 thin wheels for 3 weeks!!! & the cyclists spend many years training for that event! It's no easy task!
But before we caught the 1.15pm movie, we went on a SAFTI bus tour. Went around the grounds where Jerry once trained at. Haha..

After the tour, we in to view the exhibits, but we came rushing out after awhile, cuz' of the movie. The movie lasted 45mins. Quite cool but Siqi finds the seat uncomfortable.

When we came out from the movie... we knew why the movies were fully booked.
There was this huge bunch of army guys waiting to enter the cinema!
Kaoz! Of all days, why come on a Friday??
I wanted to watch the something misadventure movie & the one on fighter planes too!
Duh~

By the time the movie ended, we were all hungry.
We had pizza & stuffs at the cafeteria.
From the cafeteria, you can see a little 'lake' & this:

It looked rather romantic. We almost wanted to sit by the 'balcony'
but erm... weather's too warm. So back to the air-con cafeteria.

After that we went to the shooting gallery. $4 per person for 4 mins.
To try our hands on the made in singapore gun..or what you call it??
Though I never tried, I thought the scenerio was not as exciting as those in arcade but of course, in the arcade, you dun get to use gun tat recoil back at you after every shoot :P

After this, we went in to view the exhibits again. The merlion rap was quite interesting. It's very Singaporean. I did see their efforts in making SDC interesting but maybe not that very interesting yet. But then, some of the games are quite fun. Especially the one below:

Ahahaha... Crazy people!
You know we could even buy a DVD recording of that by just scanning our ticket sub at the scanning machine! But we din't lah. Haha..

Btw, no photography or videography allowed! But we took anyway!
In fact, the place is quite empty when there's no groups of tourists around.

Oh oh, we played the question & answer game there.
Where everyone is assigned a station to just press 'A' or 'B'.
Only 8 persons allowed at a go.
Well, there wasn't much people there so we all easily got ourselves a seat.
I learnt something there. I din know Mee Goreng is a mixture of chinese, malay & western. LOL.
Anyway, we took 3 attempts to break the day's highest group record!
Haha. If not, I guess we would continue playing till we hit the highest. Kekeke.

Sorry I din take much photos here but Biaojie did. So maybe you wanna ask her.

Ohhh, one more thing! Before we left, there's this robot guy there.
He's called Little George.
It was very fun talking to him.
He could answer things like 2+2=4, his favourite color, his height.

Anthony: What is 12 x 12
Jerry: ...to the power of 10!
Little George: You think I'm a calculator??

Buahahhaha...
And he could remember Anthony's name after many questions.
He could even tell Anthony's hiding behind Jerry!

Little George: Why are you hiding Anthony?
Dun be afraid!

Ahahahahahaha. It was damn funny!
Little George even sang us a song..

Little George: If you happy & you know, clap your hand!

He even fooled Anthony.

Anthony: Can you do the 'YMCA'?
Little George: What is that?
Anthony: *shows the YMCA handsign*
Little George: You looked so cute!

Hahahhaha.
We suspected there's someone behind the mirror background!
But the most classic of all was Little George moving his right hand!
It's hard to describe it here but ask anyone of us, we gladly demostrate to you.
Hahahah..

Anthony: Can you sing Mary had a little lamb?
Little George: Twinkle twinkle little star...how I wonder what you are..
Anthony: .... *walked away*

It's not too bad that day. Just a pity we couldn't watch all the movies.

Coming up next event: X'mas celebration at Jocelyn's place!
Remember to prepare the $5 present exchange!
